To ensure the safety of students’ borrowing activities and foster a healthy, secure reading environment, Shenzhen Technology University Library recently commissioned our company to custom‑manufacture this book and archive disinfection chamber. Following on-site installation, the equipment successfully passed inspection by the library staff and has received unanimous praise.

This disinfection chamber employs a combined UV-C and ozone disinfection system, enabling comprehensive, dead‑zone‑free sterilization of books and archival materials.

Staff simply place the books and archives to be disinfected on the cart and roll it directly into the chamber; once disinfection is complete, they pull the cart out and move it to the designated shelving area. This eliminates the need to manually load and unload books and archives from conventional disinfection cabinets, while also accommodating the high turnover typical of libraries, reading rooms, and archives. With this system, large volumes of returned materials can be promptly disinfected, significantly boosting librarians’ efficiency and reducing staff exposure to unsterilized items. In turn, this safeguards both readers’ health and the well-being of library and archive personnel.

The large-scale archive and library disinfection chamber (a “room-in-room” design) is manufactured using high-quality cold-rolled steel, processed with advanced production techniques, and features a double-layer cabinet structure. This ensures both the equipment’s airtightness and an aesthetically pleasing, tidy, and elegant interior. The exterior wall and roof are 1.5–2.0 mm thick, with a phosphating and powder-coating finish bringing the thickness to 1.7–2.2 mm; the interior walls are 1.0 mm thick, increasing to 1.2 mm after phosphating and powder coating. Its extra-large capacity and modular design facilitate easy installation and dismantling. The room-in-room configuration can be customized to suit on-site conditions, offering excellent sealing performance and a spacious disinfection volume.
　　2. The product employs a disinfection technology that combines ozone and ultraviolet light. Under intelligent microcomputer control, it offers six disinfection modes and two control modes—automatic and manual—allowing users to select the appropriate duration and mode based on the level of contamination of books and archives.
　　3. The product is equipped with an internal traditional Chinese medicine fumigation tray that has insecticidal properties and imparts a pleasant, fresh fragrance to the disinfectant. The fumigation temperature is below 45°C. It features built-in power-off protection and over-temperature safeguarding.
　　4. The top is equipped with three sets of recirculating air treatment systems, which not only ensure a more uniform distribution of ozone.
　　Inside the cabinet, comprehensive disinfection is achieved with no dead angles; it also removes surface dust and filters it out via a high-efficiency filter, ensuring that the disinfection chamber remains consistently dust-free and sterile.

The product’s front door is equipped with an electromagnetic lock featuring an automatic locking function: after disinfection is initiated, the electromagnetic lock automatically engages; it releases only upon completion of the cycle or during a pause, thereby preventing the door from being opened arbitrarily during disinfection and avoiding ozone leakage that could adversely affect the ambient air quality.
　　6. The trolleys are equipped with silent wheels and can be configured with varying numbers of stainless steel or galvanized steel trolleys, depending on the cabinet’s capacity, for enhanced convenience.
　　7. Equipped with a 7-inch touch-screen LCD control panel, it can display the user’s organization name, date and time, current ambient temperature and humidity, and operating status. The device offers both automatic and manual modes for user selection. It features fault alarm functionality, signal source control, and an RS‑485 communication interface.
　　8. After disinfection is complete, the machine will automatically activate the ozone reduction system to prevent ozone exposure from harming human health, leaving disinfected books and documents fresher and cleaner.
　　9. The ozone generator features a ceramic‑plate design, with a service life exceeding 8,000 hours. It operates silently during disinfection.
　　10. The product is equipped with four LED lights for illumination and features automatic access control: the lights turn on automatically when the door is opened and turn off automatically when the door is closed.
　　11. An LED full-color subtitle display is installed at the product’s door header, capable of showing the equipment name, time, temperature, humidity, and other information. Users can also download a control app on their smartphones to customize and edit the displayed subtitles themselves.
