Guangzhou Children’s Library

   Project Background
The Guangzhou Children’s Library is a sub-provincial public library dedicated to providing high-quality services to children and adolescents aged 0–18, as well as to parents and library professionals in the Guangzhou area. Located at No. 42, Zhongshan Fourth Road, the library occupies a building with a total floor area of 18,000 square meters. It has been honored with titles such as “National First-Class Library” and “Civilized Library of Guangdong Province,” making it a public library of considerable social influence and recognition both within Guangdong Province and nationwide. Due to the unique characteristics of children’s books, hygiene has long been a key concern for the library. Although standard disinfection measures are already in place, specialized sterilization equipment tailored specifically for children’s materials has yet to be introduced. To better safeguard the health of young readers and enhance the quality of the reading environment, the Guangzhou Children’s Library has decided to adopt Fono’s pediatric‑specific book sterilizer.
   Project Significance
By introducing professional book‑disinfection equipment, the following issues can be addressed:
Hygiene concerns in children’s books: Since children are the primary readership, and their immune systems are not yet fully developed, stricter disinfection measures must be implemented to ensure that the books remain sterile.
Shortcomings of Existing Disinfection Equipment: Although the library currently has some disinfection devices, these are conventional models, and their effectiveness in disinfecting children’s books may be less than ideal.
The need for disease prevention: The introduction of the Funuo children’s book sterilizer can effectively eliminate bacteria and viruses, help prevent the spread of illness, and further safeguard the health of young children.
   Project Proposal
Hangzhou Funuo Technology Co., Ltd. has provided a children’s‑specific book sterilization machine to the Guangzhou Children’s Library:
Equipment Selection: In light of the specific characteristics of children’s books, we will select a disinfection unit tailored to these needs, ensuring optimal sterilization performance.
Equipment Placement: We will select appropriate locations based on the library’s specific conditions to ensure optimal performance and user convenience.
Equipment Usage: We will organize specialized training to ensure that library staff can operate these devices correctly and maintain them in optimal working condition.
Disinfection Effectiveness Assessment: We will conduct regular testing and evaluation of the equipment’s disinfection performance to ensure its efficacy.
   Project Value
In practical applications, the Funo children’s book sterilizer has demonstrated significant efficacy and advantages. A field survey conducted at the Guangzhou Children’s Library revealed that books disinfected with the sterilizer exhibited a marked reduction in the survival rates of bacteria and viruses, thereby effectively preventing the spread of infectious diseases.
In addition, the Funo book sterilizer is easy and convenient to operate, significantly boosting the library’s efficiency while providing young readers with a safer, more comfortable reading environment.
